With all of the recent talk of Chicago as Boozer’s destination, here are some three way trades for the Jazz that make sense.
Some three way trades with Chicago that make sense
Fun with the ESPN Trade Machine
And just in case anyone wanted to know…
If you do a four team trade with Utah, Miami, Cleveland, and Toronto to ship off Boozer, Kirilenko, Harpring, and CJ Miles for Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James, Hollinger’s rankings predict that the Jazz would win 47 games more than they did last year.
Considering that the Jazz won 48 games last year, and there are fewer than 95 games in an NBA season, I find Hollinger’s numbers slightly suspect.
If they pulled off a trade like that, I suspect that the Jazz probably wouldn’t match on Millsap — to save money for 2010 to re-sign their starters.
David Locke’s Trade Proposals for Carlos Boozer
Here are 13 more trade proposals as David Locke presented on his show this afternoon on 1320 KFAN.
I have to say that I prefer some of the trade proposals in my previous blog to the ones he presented here.
Possible Boozer Trade Scenarios
You can certainly have a lot of fun with ESPN Trade Machine. I tried to limit myself to trades that made a certain degree of sense for both sides and that only involved one team.
Here are a couple of trade scenarios that might work for the Jazz, especially considering that they Jazz have made it known that they have to trade Boozer (thus reducing the amount they can get from him).
Why not trade Carlos Boozer to New York for David Lee?
I haven’t heard this trade rumor come up, but in the wake of the knowledge that Portland is willing to throw a lot of up front money at Paul Millsap, in a front-loaded contract, even though most people agree that Millsap is too small to be a starting Power Forward in the league, it makes me wonder if the Jazz should pursue an alternative course of action.
Since everybody else is getting into the trade rumor arena, I figured it was time for me to throw my hat over the wall.
The Jazz could easily trade Carlos Boozer and CJ Miles (or Matt Harpring) to the New York Knicks for David Lee (via sign-and-trade) and Jared Jeffries.
