I don’t know if we should be excited or not that Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer will be included on the Team USA roster to compete in Beijing, China during the upcoming summer Olympics.
Typically players that compete competitively over the offseason have been riddled with injuries in the following NBA season with a body which has not gotten the rest that it needed to compete in a grueling 82 game season plus playoffs.
The Utah Jazz are the only team to have two players chosen for the U.S. Olympic team.
The twelve man roster is as follows:
- Deron Williams, Utah Jazz
- Carlos Boozer, Utah Jazz
- Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
- Lebron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
- Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat
- Carmelo Anthony, Denver Nuggets
- Jason Kidd, Dallas Mavericks
- Tayshaun Prince, Detroit Pistons
- Chris Bosh, Toronto Raptors
- Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic
- Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
- Michael Redd, Milwaukee Bucks
