With the 23rd pick in the 2008 draft the Utah Jazz took center Kosta Koufos from Ohio State University.
Too bad we didn’t draft the center from Ohio State University last year.
By all accounts Kosta is a pretty good pick and has a passion for learning and playing basketball, and he is still very young.

I don’t know if we should be excited or not that Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer will be included on the Team USA roster to compete in Beijing, China during the upcoming summer Olympics.
Typically players that compete competitively over the offseason have been riddled with injuries in the following NBA season with a body which has not gotten the rest that it needed to compete in a grueling 82 game season plus playoffs.
The Utah Jazz are the only team to have two players chosen for the U.S. Olympic team.

Although a lot of Mock Draft makers are predicting that the Jazz are going to pick a center, Kevin O’Connor has repeated many times that they always draft the Best Player Available, rather than drafting for need. If both of them match, that’s great, but the Jazz will not draft a big man at 23 just because they need a big man.
That’s not to say that they never draft for position though.

Jazz fans everywhere have a nice smile on their face after the Lakers were beaten for the second time in as many games in the 2008 NBA Playoffs.
Yes, Jazz fans hate the Lakers, and they love to see them lose.
But that isn’t exactly why they are smiling.
