Utah Jazz defeat Golden State handily…again

The Utah Jazz started out where they left off last season.

They are still much better than the Golden State Warriors, defeating them by 21 points in a game that seemed over after a monstrous second quarter seemed to take the wind out of the Warriors sails. Golden State seems to know that they can’t handle the Utah Jazz just as much as they know that they can beat the Dallas Mavericks any time they want.

And it showed.

Carlos Boozer had 32 points (12-21 FG, 8-9 FT), 15 rebounds (3 offensive).

Deron Williams had 25 points (8-15 FG, 5-6 FT, 3-4 3PT), 4 rebounds, 8 assists.

Andrei Kirilenko had 9 points (3-10 FG, 3-4 FT), 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal, and 5 blocks in a game high 40 minutes. If his rebounds, assists, and blocks should remain that high, he should delight fantasy owners everywhere.

Ronnie Brewer, officially named the starting shooting guard earlier in the day, continued his preseason numbers with 18 points (8-14 FG, 2-2 FT) and 4 steals.

Paul Millsap came off the bench for 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 FT), 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks.

In a losing effort, Baron Davis filled up the stats sheet with 25 points, 4 rebounds, 10 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks.
